Introducing, LOVE IN EXILE, the latest collection from Gail Elliott’s contemporary women’s fashion label, Little Joe Woman.

Love in Exile is a beautiful collection – from where did you draw inspiration for this one? The inspiration for this collection was drawn from the documentary ‘Stones in Exile’ when the Rolling Stones were exiled to France for some years in the 70s. It has a very Mediterranean feel with definite inflections of 70s gypsy bohemian luxe incorporated in the silhouettes.

What’s your personal favourite piece from the collection? I love all the pieces in the collection but if I had to choose just one, it would be the butter soft ‘Here’s Trouble’ suede sheath dress.

What key looks do you recommend we invest in for spring? The key looks I recommend one should invest in for spring are a great light weight silk blazer worn with a t-shirt and leather pants. Printed silk chiffon , flowing, maxi dresses worn with a tiny cropped leather jacket, and a short lace cocktail dress with gorgeous heels.

Tell me about the accessories you’re stocking at Little Joe Woman at the moment? The accessories we stock at our six Little Joe Woman stores change constantly but at the moment we have Marit Rae delicate gold plated beaded necklaces with precious stones, House of Harlow jewelry by Nicole Richie, Teresa Ruiz jewelry, Johnny Ramli bracelets from Europe as well as a new brand of swimwear by Misken Martinez which I love, Fluxus tees from L.A, amazing smelling Votivo Candles from San Francisco, RMK suede ankle boots and many of my other favorite  brands.

What will you be wearing to Melbourne Cup this year? This year to Melbourne Cup I’ll be wearing our Little Joe Woman ‘I’ll Be The Moon’ one shouldered silk chiffon dress in sky blue with black lace trim along with Autore pearl & diamond jewelry and Prada heels & bag.
