How many times have you found yourself wistfully imagining a serene getaway to a tropical island only to realise that – yikes – you’ve got kids, a job, a dog that needs to be fed and walked every day, plants that need to be watered, and so many other responsibilities. Suddenly, those visions of you in a flattering bikini on a white sandy beach sipping a cocktail, surrounded by a tranquil aquamarine ocean fade as fast as they appeared in your delusional mind. What were you thinking? You’ll never be able to get away. But you desperately need a break. Life is so busy and you never get any time for yourself. How will you ever manage a holiday or a weekend away to recharge, or just some timeout for a few hours?
While scouring the internet for holiday resorts, I stumbled across the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, a place no more than a couple of kilometres away from where I live. It seemed to offer everything I was looking for in a holiday. It got me thinking: Was it possible to get that dream break without even leaving home?
RACV Royal Pines Resort has something for everyone. If you’re sporty, there’s golf and tennis. If you’re active, there’s the fitness club, One Lifestyle. If you just want to relax and do nothing, there’s the Lagoon Pool. And if you want to be pampered, there’s One Spa, the resort’s very own luxury day spa, which offers everything from facials and specialty massages, to body wraps, water therapies, manicures and pedicures. There’s also a hair salon.
Then there are the food and bars. The resort has no less than eight restaurants and bars to choose from. Dine a la carte at the multi-award winning Videre Restaurant with its panoramic views of the Gold Coast on level 21, or try some traditional Japanese cuisine at Arakawa. If you’d rather go casual, there’s Italian at Trattoria Amici or a sensational buffet at Kalinda. There’s also the Panorama Lounge and Tees’ Clubhouse. If it’s just a drink you’re after, you have the choice of the Videre Bar, Hydrate Bar and Arika Pool Bar.
For families staying at the resort, hours of fun are guaranteed at the children’s water park, and playground with jumping pillow. There really is something for everyone.
The best thing about RACV Royal Pines Resort is that you can opt for the “Staycation experience” , drop in and dine at one of our many restaurants, or simply treat yourself to a round of golf or One Spa treatment. Whether it’s a week, a weekend or just for the day, that break you so crave is right on your doorstep.
